Alfreton (A) 21/11/15)

Many others going?
Expecting another tricky game against a side who somehow managed to lose at YS and have beaten Harrogate away in an eye catching result to end a poor run.
We've gone back to being inconsistent. Good at home, poor away. The midweek setback particularly bad as we're still not in the top 5 despite having played 3 more games than most sides (so putting us likely 4-7pts behind when it all pans out)

Trains from Boston. It is better to split for a cheaper ticket so go Boston-Nottingham and Nottm-Alfreton ticketswise
The train leaves Boston at XX50, then you have a 15-20 minute wait at eithe r Grantham or Nottingham and get the Liverpool bound train to Alfreton at XX08, some 2 hours 18 minutes later

After the game, there is a 1704 train but you'll need to be quick (10-15 min walk from ground to station). Failing that, it is the 1808 train. You then have 15 minutes to change at Nottingham and get home at 2018.

The Alfreton train is direct from Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield, Grantham, Peterborough and up to Norwich. It is also served by the Nottingham-Leeds Northern Rail trains at a half hour interval with the other train.

Away form tells me not to go but its a fairly local game and I fancy some decent ale in Notts. Going to sink a few jars in Notts before jumping on the train to Alfreton. See you all there.

Which also allows you to use a group ticket (3-5 people) for each leg - but only on East Midlands Trains. This gives approx 33% discount each on an adult ticket (plus any kids for £1).
I create YouTube videos (BUFC/FM/CM 01-02), and stream Football Manager on Twitch as BostonUnitedFM.

Abstaining after the Worcester debacle. Hoping for a postponement to allow DG more time to watch his coaching dvds - and get a holding midfielder that doesn't run around like a headless chicken.

I agree with you...we DESPARATELY require a decent holding midfielder.....weve needed one for ages...the last decent one we had was Paul Ellender when he played in midfield....

A few snaps from today's game in a public Facebook album:

Not many snaps taken today. I've forgotten what it's like to be cold with all the mild weather we've been having and my fingers stopped working in the cold!
