Brilliant win for Youth Team today
« on: November 11, 2015, 05:49:06 PM »
Well done to Bunny and the lads who saw off an older and physical (well, their talented but hotheaded #9 was certainly that!) Solihull Moors side in the first round of the Youth Alliance League Cup. The game had it all - 3 goals, a massive brawl resulting in 2 red cards, a number of physical challenges, a smouldering Referees' Changing Room due, I think, to a heater issue and a low flying air "display" by the RAF! The Pilgrims held their own throughout and were deserved winners although the Solihull bench did their #9 no favours by not substituting him prior to the 80th minute brawl as he had been most fortunate not to be dismissed for an earlier assault and his behaviour in the game was always going to result in him heading for an early bath and a lengthy suspension. Great entertainment and onwards to the next round!
Alan Partridge: "I bet I've got more friends than you've got cows. How many cows have you got?"
Farmer: "I've got 100 cows."
AP: "Well, I've got 104 friends!"
