Sad News
« on: October 26, 2015, 03:20:33 PM »
Just been told the very sad news that Luke Clayton has passed away.  A top bloke with possibly the claim to be BUFC's most dedicated fan.

Thoughts are with family and friends.

Puts any football discussion into perspective.  As Ferret mentions showed a huge dedication to the club attending so many games over the years home and away.  Will be missed.

That is sad. I think I've seen him at pretty much every away game I've been too.

RIP Luke.

Lovely guy who followed Boston United so loyally, only speaking to him a week or so ago, such a shock. Deserves a minutes applause on Saturday for the support he's given BUFC.

So sad to hear about the death of Luke. As Ferret says, a top bloke; we enjoyed chatting at home matches as we bought our GG tickets.  Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time.
It would be nice if we could remember Luke with a minutes silence (or applause?) before the FCUM game on Saturday as he was such a commited supporter of our club.

I am sad to say that I can't put a face to the name although I am sure I would know him, never the less my sincere condolences to his family RIP Luke.

Oh my goodness that Luke, Wandered where he was on Saturday at Telford. He will be missed at every ground we play at as he never missed supporting his beloved United, certainly if anyone deserved a minutes applause on Saturday it is Luke and I know many FC United fans have expressed a wish to show their respect. Will be greatly missed RIP Luke

So pleased that we"ll be able to give Luke a good send off on Saturday in front of a large crowd.

A really nice guy and am pleased that BUFC have arranged minute's applause on Saturday. He will be sadly missed.
Alan Partridge: "I bet I've got more friends than you've got cows. How many cows have you got?"
Farmer: "I've got 100 cows."
AP: "Well, I've got 104 friends!"

It will indeed be lovely and fitting to send a lovey lad on his way with one minutes applause.
