Has left Stamford.

Both Craig and the official Twitter account have recently followed him.

Should give better balance to the squad ,   loads of midfielders when all are fit.

 Is he Jonahs brother ?

From the official site:

Boston United have completed the signing of Stamford AFC centre-half Richard Jones.

The towering defender (27) is the older brother of United striker Mark Jones and put pen-to-paper late on Friday after leaving the Zecco Stadium earlier in the day.

Jones, who is the Daniels’ reigning three-time player of the year, is expected to make his United debut on Saturday in the Pilgrims’ home fixture against Alfreton Town — with Carl Piergianni (suspension) and Zak Mills (hamstring injury) sidelined.

Leaving The Jakemans Stadium, meanwhile, is 23-year-old midfielder Jay Dowie, who has joined Vanarama National League South side Concord Rangers on a permanent basis.

Shefford-based Dowie made 26 appearances in two spells with the Pilgrims and moves on with the best wishes of everybody at the club.

I remember him playing in the Lincs Cup game at Stamford a few seasons ago (http://www.bostonunited.co.uk/teams/24809/match-centre/0-1164375), and he came directly up against his brother.

A few players who've gone on to play for BUFC (or had done before) in the Stamford squad that night. I think Gary King's penaly in the shoot out is still in the air!

Sounds an interesting signing. We desparately needed another central defender so I hope he does well. Pity Galinski will be playing for Alfreton instead of us though

 Like the ' towering ' . .
Hopefully good cover/replacement  , and should be therefore seeing biggish experienced defender on bench again  when all return , 1st I remember since Galinski era .
However Stamford have been poor defensively of late  .   ::)

An adjective previpusly applied to Ben Futcher and Tom Ward. Let's reserve judgement ...

What happened to Lionel Stone. I thought he had signed on permanently and then seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth. Well arleast off the Boston website. I don't recall a post or report about him moving on.

Hope Jonah Mk11 is not as badly injured as that looked. Looks like a long lay off. Did well until injury.

His interview sounds promising - http://www.lincolnshireecho.co.uk/Boston-United-2-Alfreton-Town-1-Match-report-Ryan/story-28003095-detail/story.html

After seeing the video of our 2 goals pleased Steph was playing against us .

Early days but Jones may be a better option .

Completely agree I thought Galinski was poor.
