United describe him as a left back which is what we need although Sunderland list him as a gifted central midfielder who is equally at home on the left side of midfield.  Looking forward to seeing him and hope he does really well.

Bears a striking resemblance to a current forum member.

Good debut, natural left foot made a difference especially in the first half. Nice to see Mares in his natural position as well.

Same opinion as the many fans I spoke to after the match .

I also bumped into my mate who wears a green hat (dt woodhall) ,  he too expressed delight at the performance of Dylan McEvoy at left back .  I presume this will set a change of his theme on the the Patter from now on .

The now infamous "get us a left-back" cry will be changed to praising Greene and expressing " how does Den get these qualitiy players " on a limied budget .

Because I suppose we dont have to pay Sunderland very much for these academy players.
Its a shame Mr Genius did not get a left back in 3 months ago. We would probably be better placed than where we are now. Thought Dylan had a good game.

You should know how Sunderland have been going though a period of change all season , well done to Greene for another good shrewd signing ,  Sounds like dt maybe  prefers highly paid old pro,s to good youngsters .   great business by Greene , but seems dt would prefer more money spent on a poorer player .

As pointed on another thread Telford followed your plan dt of rushing out pre-season and made panic
signings , Look where Telford are now !!

What has Greene got to do to get faint praise from you ?

McEvoy is on the subs bench tonight for Sunderland U21 away at Leicester. Stryjek and Agnew both start.

Leicester U21 1, Sunderland U21 6.

With the way Sunderland's first team has been playing, how long before the U21 players are knocking on Allardyce's door?

Agnew amongst the scorers and McEvoy played for the last few minutes.
