What price Dayle Southwell?
« on: October 05, 2015, 10:16:25 PM »
Unsure of validity of the source, but had heard Birmingham had offered £50k for Dayle. Personally, I think that's under-valued. Whether or not it's right, what's the right price if Dayle were to be sold?

If BUFC want to cash in .they'll do the business ..
For prob less than one would hope  .
I would say theres a  chance he will stay ..depends on the boy's immediate ambitions .

A big consideration for players at this level is around whether the deal offered by the full time Club is attractive enough for that player to potentially give up their day job (assuming they have one). Say DS earns £50k a year and has a steady job and enjoys playing part time football as a semi-pro. A Club could come in and offer him the same sort of salary but it may be all over within a year if he doesn't make the grade.

And of course there's also the logistics to consider for players at this level. Would he want to travel, move house, uproot his family ? Lots of considerations  - and not all about the football for many of these non-league players.

I think DS has the ability to play a league higher than he's in now but you could say that for quite a few players in this division.

Any ideas what Omar Bogle's undisclosed transfer fee could have been in the summer? £75k-£100k?
I create YouTube videos (BUFC/FM/CM 01-02), and stream Football Manager on Twitch as BostonUnitedFM.
