Although perhaps unfair to single anyone out, thought Deen-Conteh was particularly lacklustre again yesterday. DG was constantly having to tell him where to run and what to do and in the end subbed him  - he seemed really frustrated with him. Sooner we get a replacement the better.

He came off ill, so must've been a doubt. Probably wouldn't have played if Mills and Pidge were available.

Agree TEP ..
I would give the incumbent 4 games to get 7 points i.e 2 wins 1 draw 1 loss on a rolling basis .
Then I am not the Chairman .
Though Green has a habit of winning games he needs to ..Re Monday .

And I hereby allocate 'only 3 points off the playoffs'  to the Happy Clappers dictionary  !

Who would you replace a manager "that has a habit of winning games he needs to do " with ? is,nt that the exact talent that chairmen look for .

Anyone who allocates "only 3 points off the play-offs"   to the happy clappers dictionary should really allocate a little time to the Nat Conf record books before rushing into print .

Hi again GHM ..
Maybe in contradicting myself somewhat I achieved a 'balanced' post .
And calculating on last seasons Conf North finish ..You need say 3 wins & 2 draws per 6 games for a comfy playoff place ..and 3 wins & 1 draw to scrape in with 70 points .
You may like to expand on you last point .

If you look at the record books you will find that a few teams over the years have landed a play-off spot after being bottom half of table mid-season .      Put me down as a realistic "happy clapper".

Well 1/7 of league games played  . .and only approx 10 % of managers will achieve promotion ..so we will see .

Midget United again. When will this manager learn what is required in this
northern physical league!!!!

Interestingly the player he brings in on loan is southern based yet again.

We will do nothing this year without a more physical set up.

Come on Mr Genius step up to the plate or let somebody else do the job

We seemed to do OK last season... stop moaning and get behind the team. We had 2 of our most physical players out on Saturday, replaced 1 with a 6ft2 defender... and you're still moaning we're not big enough?

Greene made the change last season, moving Garner into midfield to give us more of a presence. You didn't complain when that saw us go on a phenomenal run until the of the season, did you?

Having both Mills and Pidge unavailable v Trinity was a big loss, two big players for us.

Pidge back today pushing Garner into midfield should see us looking more solid.

But massive and certainly not soft.
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

And had another good game, hopefully we can keep him longer-term.
