Just one about the attendances Ken- it's much harder to get within 30 & 100 for the bigger teams who get big crowds than it would be for Brackley, so would it be better to say 10pts if spot on, 3pts if within 10% either side and 1pt within 20% either side???
Sounds good and wouldn't require more than a minor change to my spreadsheet. I reckon it would need to be a bit tighter though as just using the average attendance as a prediction would pick up 1 point for most games as actual attendances are mostly within 20% of the average gate (all but 5 of Boston's home games last season and all but 7 of the away games). So how about within 10% gets 1 point and within 5% gets 3pts and 10 points for spot on?
It's your game, but that sounds good.
For Brackley you can be sure it'll be between 250 and 400 so you've a large chance of a result otherwise whereas Stockport could be between 3,000 and 4,000 depending on how they turn out, o the percentage idea would be good
