Been released by Sunderland, signed for Barrow, missed out there.

Should be plenty more keepers out there - particularly as it's early pre-season.

Ideally could do with someone a little more local if a permanent signing. If it's a loanee then must be lots of options from some of the bigger  Clubs in the Midlands.

Thought Vince did ok at the start of last season until he got messed about for the likes of Gledhill - and then he never seemed to recover for the remainder of the season.

That little club is still splashing it's benefactors money around. We probably couldn't compete financially.
Mark my words it will all end in tears.

I'm not surprised. Dixon was outstanding at Barrow and produced save after save after save to keep us in the match. It took a late penalty to beat him, and even that shouldn't have stood as he was still adjusting his socks when it was taken. His display that afternoon must have been noted by the Barrow management, and I'd think he's been on their radar ever since.

Having said that, I'd still take Stryjek out of the two - if we can get a season long loan.
