Tom Denton hat-trick! And Guiseley down to ten men after using all their subs and then picking up an injury.

If they are doing favours "on demand", can they score 3 more before full time please?

FC United promoted tonight, but we won't be playing them next season...

Means if Chorley beat Solihull then they'll finish above Guiseley whatever happens, and if we can beat Leamington then we'll finish 3rd and face Chorley.

Worst case scenario is ending up 5th, that would suck.

As much as everybody criticises North Ferriby for their style of play, this result does confirm one thing - that defenders (even at the better clubs in Conference North) don't like playing against Tom Denton. He's gangly and he's awkward but he does cause problems and he does score goals. As much as I like all of our existing strikers, we are going to need at least one other forward option in our squad next season - irrespective of what league we are in. With Ferriby's money apparently drying up I wonder if Denton might become available and might be a player we'd consider? Whilst I wouldn't want us to become a long ball team, he'd be a very useful asset on the end of a Zak Mills long throw!

How would 5th place suck......we'd still be in the playoffs?

If Guiseley and Chorley both win, then the biggest winning  margin would go ahead of the other one.

5th place sucks because it results in the toughest semi-final - home and away games against Fylde or Barrow. The best chance of getting promoted is to finish in 3rd place and hope that Guiseley or Chorley knock out Barrow / Fylde in the semi and Boston win their semi against Chorley/Guiseley and then get to play Guiseley/Chorley at York Street in a one-off final. So a win on Saturday against Leamington would be really good.

But on the other hand, an away Play Off Final should herald slightly less pressure... but then again, it could be flipping miles away!!
