Suspensions don't start until 14 days later, so that will be the 31st.
I create YouTube videos (BUFC/FM/CM 01-02), and stream Football Manager on Twitch as BostonUnitedFM.

It is silly though that a player can get sent off in a major tournament (World Cup, Champions League, etc.), and then be banned automatically for the next match. In the case of a World Cup tie that next match might only be 3-4 days later. Why no consistency?

I assume it is all down to times taken for referees to write their reports, submit paperwork, etc., but given modern technology surely the 14-day delay ought to be tightened at all levels of the game?

Referee and writing. Two words that leave a lot to the imagination. Just heard on the news about Orangutangs that cup their hands around their mouths to increase the volume of their howls and make them sound bigger, that's intelligence for you. Give em whistles and see what they can do.

We are the highest level at which the 14-day rule is valid. How far do you go down? Lincolnshire League? I'd like to know how many games take place under the FA's jurisdiction every weekend...

Isn't the league under UCL and below run under the auspices of the county associations when it comes to discipline and didn't i read aomewhere they had to change a couple of years ago as you could still be suspended for thirty days instead of games which for non contracted players especially those who played Sundays was absurdly harsh.... As well as being ridiculous

I believe it was changed in 2011 to do the opposite - separate out Saturday and Sunday football, for example.

http://www.ncefl.org.uk/league/rules/disciplinary/

"In June 2011, the FA introduced the changes in how field disciplinary offences will be handled in all open aged football. "

The current FA Handbook is online - http://myepublish.net/TheFA_Discipline/ - if you have the time to read through!
