Great 3 points keeps the play off hopes alive.

Guisely only managed a draw against Hyde. All the games in hand may be catching up with them.

The lads stood up to a very physical Hednesford and gave as good as they got. The first goals for both teams were the result of long throws with Pidge going in like a train and nearly putting three of their defenders in the back of the net with the ball. The winning goal was brilliant passing with Dayle finishing the move with great aplomb, it was worthy of winning any game. The referee was at the bottom of the list of the crap we usually get making some very poor decisions, failing to keep up with the game and having no idea where to position himself. Again all the boys gave their all and were a credit to the club.
Tomorrow I fly to warmer climes for a week so a big thank you to Den and the lads for sending me with spring in my step.

PS Ken will you accept my prediction for next week.   Gloucester 0  Pilgrims 4  ( 452 )

Few chances either way. We'll play better and lose but they shaded first half (both goals from long throws) and we edged 2nd half. A few nervy moments at the end after we missed 2 good chances to kill them off but luckily we were able to hang on.

Let's not un-do the hard work next week against a Gloucester side who weren't great at YS

You wouldn't think the result was that good judging by the lethargy on here. Didn't go but didn't need to to know that it was a super result and one that at leasts keeps the season going for another week! ;D

I think Hednesford will be the team to drop out... we just need to be the ones who overtake them. Their next run of games is North Ferriby home, Tamworth away, Oxford City home and Solihull away.
I create YouTube videos (BUFC/FM/CM 01-02), and stream Football Manager on Twitch as BostonUnitedFM.

Cracking day out, fabulous atmosphere from the Boston contingent, apart from a few retards from the hednesford supporters who wanted to invite us outside was a really friendly welcoming club, as for the game, thought we had them at arms length for pretty much the whole game, pidge and garner were immense again, don't think max hardly had a save to make, should really have had 3 or 4 goals second half if we took our chances, keeps our season alive with an outside chance of play offs, onwards to Gloucester.

It was great to see Saturday a different side to us, seen us bullied out the game by teams like Hednesford and NFU. Hednesford were very physical with some of their tackles first half bordering somewhere between yellows and red but the clown in black was the worst ive seen this year and weve had some shockers and didnt even give free kicks for some. We noticed before the game that he couldnt keep up with his linesmen in the warm up and he was often so behind play it may have been the reason he got so much wrong. The time Hednesfords defender slid in and basically rolled the ball out of play up his leg onto his body with a Boston player about a yard away to see him award a goal kick and not a corner was one of the most laughable of the lot, we were convinced he would make a decision that would give Hednesford a route back into the game but thankfully he didnt.
The BUFC players must have bruises on bruises after that but they stood up and the forward play could have given us another 2 goals when both Southwell and Felix will score more than miss with the late chances they had when we broke forward.

Still think we will need about 73 points meaning we can only afford to lose one and draw one with 6 wins in the last 8 games, but who knows!
