Almost certainly a 'keeper for the first time in a long while don't really need to strengthen any other area of the squad. Although this does indicate that Joel wont return which is a shame.

Thinking about it could also be McDonald signing a contract as his loan month is up.

Any rumours on who this could be?   I sincerely hope that it is a goalkeeper.

This guy:

http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/players/profile.overview.html/max-stryjek

He came on for the second half against us in the pre-season friendly. I'm pretty sure he was the better of the 2 that day.

He was on the bench for Sunderland's first team against Leeds in the FA Cup last month. Interestingly, Joel Dixon was in goal in Sunderland U21's last fixture... taking over from Stryjek.
I create YouTube videos (BUFC/FM/CM 01-02), and stream Football Manager on Twitch as BostonUnitedFM.
