Right decision although Miller was the main topic last April/May time, it could be a boring summer!

I don't think its the right decision at all. Its almost a form of blackmail!
Of course I get the need if possible to secure an extension and after his form thus far who can blame Dennis for wanting him to sign, but why the need to go public with it, I just dont understand or agree with that at all.
Miller was different in that many clubs were watching him and one actually made two bids, so of course Den wanted him to sign, but as long as Southwell privately knowing of Dens faith and wishes to keep him, he would have had three months to decide and not as appears to be the case three days.
Now its gone public as it were if Thursday comes and goes without an agreement where does that leave South well, does it mean he can not sign again if he wishes to, and if the answer is of course he can, why go into print with an ultimatum suggesting otherwise. If it does pass could it also affect his form?
Strange one this

How do you know two clubs were looking at Miller?
How do you know no one is looking at Dayle (possibly a better all round TEAM player? )

With his goals they well could be and again could be the reason for the extended contract offer but just as likely its been made on the back of what the lad has done. Either way just think it shouldn't be discussed in the media at the start of February

I'll play Devils Advocate.....
Don't let the tail wag the dog...
It's one of these questions where both sides of the argument have pros and cons.
Only time will tell.....Just hope DG has played his hand well .)

One minute fans are moaning because they are told nothing, then they moan because they are being told everything( not agreeing or disagreeing by the way) who would be a football manager.

I would Tash, they pay you to leave when they find out how crap you are at the job, that wouldn't be long in my case.

Releasing it to media may only be lip service.  The direction we're going in may already be set.  Create a story from nothing.
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

Spot on Dave. I admit that I for one want to be kept informed about anything that affects BUFC and I am sure that most on here feel the same.  UTP.

And some of that has rubbed off on Steve Housham as well!
