That's uncalled for, hitting below the belt. You leave my obese grandad out of this.

Just looked at the video and it was a penalty!Forearm in the back is not a shoulder barge!

I must say that having only listened to the radio commentary and now having watched the video I thought it looked more of a penalty than I was expecting it to.   However, Joel Dixon was nowhere near ready when the referee blew his whistle for the spot kick - that was ridiculous!

Just watched the highlights and both teams had plenty of chances to score. Looking at the penalty decision, i think the referee was right. Unfortunate to lose but we need to get maximum points over the festive period if we want to challenge for the play-offs. :snowman

Bickering aside, that looked a great game of football I missed yesterday.  McGhee looked back to his best.

Penalty? hmmm I'm not so sure but can see why it was given.
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

Result immaterial. Quadrant, Quadrant, Quadrant. That's the biggest result for BUFC & Chestnut Homes. It's what we all wanted. Who is going to watch the builders start work in the next 3 months? Take a flask and chair and cheer the workers on.
Alan Partridge: "I bet I've got more friends than you've got cows. How many cows have you got?"
Farmer: "I've got 100 cows."
AP: "Well, I've got 104 friends!"

Whether or not it was a harsh penalty (and looking at it. it did actually appear to be apen) holding on or contending that it wasn't gives a perfect excuse for defeat does it not?
That said they certainly had a lot of other really clear cut chances.
I am no longer letting myself get worked up about it, and as we approach a happy time of year have settled into the idea that 8th to 14th is almost inevitable and am really looking forwars to next season. ;D
