Today's attendace
« on: August 30, 2014, 06:34:14 PM »
1001.

Surprised it was such a low attendance today so early in the season. Maybe a few posters could be distributed like last season? Free entry for kids with a paying adult vouchers could be given to local schools? I don't believe any sort of reduction in gate prices for adults would increase takings overall. Good results tend to produce an increase in gates but the gates are needed in order to fund a side aiming to get the results needed.

Doing a lot of driving yesterday and this morning  can be sure this is down to holidays with every 3rd car on the A17 jammed solid with bedding etc and unbelievable amount of wobble boxes about.

I don't miss many home games, but yesterday I was at Trent Bridge, I bought my tickets for England v India last October. I can't be in two places at once, but morally, as a season ticket holder, I was there!!!!

Fickle united. After all we have lost a game and drawn one what do you expect some
of the so called fans to do. I think our style of play may not be helping. Interestingly Mr Genius says he wants to increase our attacking play. It would help if he signed another striker!!!!

So after another good result hopefully we can get a better attendance than previous seasons midweek. Unlike a lot of midweek games over recent seasons there is no champions league, England or prem game on the tv to compete with (England play Monday.)

Any late suggestions to try and keep the gate above 1000? I will be bringing a friend along who isn't a regular, maybe others could do the same?

Early season Tuesdays are an odd one, we sometimes get big gates because people that can't do a Saturday come and take a look.

We need to promote the fact we're second, that's all people care about.  Spread the word good things are happening this season so far.

So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.
