I have commented in support of the application on BBC website both as a Boston United fan and as a life long resident who wants to see progress and development of my town. Pleased to do so.
Second this view.......only not a lifelong resident, an ex-pat Wybertonian who has moved away for the opportunities that Boston doesn't offer, partly because of the council's intransigence to moving the town into modern times. Wyberton has never had a "village" feel to it unless you're looking down Church Lane or remember it before the mass building programme after the war. The old A16 has never had a natural rural gap between Boston and Wyberton in my memory. The moving of the A16 to the old railway line created a temporary gap around Tytton Lane that was inevitably to be filled at some point....that point has arrived in some style.
The shopping facilities will not detract from the town centre but more likely draw Boston (and other) folk away from having to travel to Springfields.
The Wyberton protest site just seems to have turned into a meglomaniac type soapbox for "Sue" whose increasingly erratic "People's Front of Wyberton" style rants generate a response of ridicule rather than any form of serious support.
