More importantly, what are his views on the Quadrant, the Harrogate match and the Dennis Greene Housing Benefit scandal ????

Who gives a sh*t as long as he is half as good a full back as Liam.

With a surname like that, will we get additional time at the end of a game if we're a goal down?

Reading an article from a Sunderland website, it refers to Liam Marrs as a former Sunderland player. Is this a misprint or has he actually been released? If he is a free agent then he'd be a player I'd be happy to see back at Boston next season.

Ernie - it was tongue in cheek. Apologies for the confusion.

Bit of a quandary

If he is, then you will have to pay him whilst injured, and if not, he may think that BUFC are not looking after him, and will play elsewhere next season

He's not signed, currently (http://www.bostonunited.co.uk/s/the-team-24809.html) - because he's injured, and just had a knee operation. Why would we sign an injured player? He'll be fit towards the end of the season, so I assume before the deadline, we'll register him with the Conference. The fact DG is looking forward to having him back when fit is surely enough for to realise he's wanted here. I would imagine he'll still get treatment at Sunderland (despite being released), as that's where he lives.

If Liam was to sign for next season it would be a fantastic coup, although personally I don't see it as someone with his ability would be able to get a team closer to home, in a higher league and on better wages.

Why would we sign an injured player?

Evans paid £15,000 for Mark Freeman from Cheltenham. He arrived with a pelvic injury and never played for the club.

As far as Marrs is concerned, we've got two other Sunderland players presumably travelling down to matches together. Hopefully they'll keep bringing Marrs with them. Even if we can't sign or play him at the moment, it does make sense to keep him involved with the squad.

I can't really fault this link up with Sunderland, both lads who've come down so far have brought something extra to the side and here's hoping this lad does too.

Like Carl I think Marrs is a bit too good for this level but it won't hurt him to come here for next season, shine, and move on upwards when the chance arises.
