Histon Away
« on: February 03, 2014, 01:11:24 PM »
Living just around the corner from the Histon ground I can confirm the pitch is not in the best of shape! You can see the surface from the road and Its going to be heavy legs all around!
Histons match on saturday was cancelled at home, hopefully the pitch will recover in time but we need to be wary of a rested Histon squad!
Huge 3 points up for grab!

Are we expecting a big away following like the new years day fiasco?

Up the pilgrims!

Would be disappointed if they couldn't get this one on. I also only live a few miles away and it's a lovely breezy day and no rain forecast ahead of tomorrow evening.

Doc. I rang them on New Years day at 1030 for a 3pm kick off and the man said "although it is wet I can see no reason for the game being cancelled" the rest is history. After making the journey I swore I would not be going to any rescheduled game so they will not be getting entrance money from the five of us.

Touche, they did indeed. That said, midweek or not, would still expect at least 100 to go, especially with our current form

If they call it off at around 5pm, they may as well be forced to give us the 3 points

I see Histon have just lost their captain, Remy Clerima, to Brackley. Another defender who was in their team on Boxing Day has since returned to parent club, Peterborough. Maybe their side might have become a little unsettled.
