There's a difference between overspending on the playing budget (Trinity, Spalding) and overspending because your overheads are huge (us).

Is Peter Bore still dual-registered with us and Spalding? He seems to have disappeared from our official site completely, so is he now solely a tulip?

Didn't Spalding also have three points deducted last year for a similar offence?

Pilgrim86, i believe that Steelihat may be referring to the 2001/02 campaign as opposed to any overheads we currently have

"More on this huge story when we have it."

Ha!

Are Spalding really going to waste everyone's time and appeal?

Spalding have just set a new UCL record of 17 games without defeat and yet only 154 souls went to watch them achieve this.   Surely their "sugar daddy" will get fed up sooner rather than later.

It's slightly more impressive than 17 games without defeat - they have won all their 17 games in the UCL so far this season. Not too surprising considering the strength of their squad.

Isn't their so called "sugar daddy"  the manager?

I don't understand these "rich" individuals throwing cash at football clubs hoping to rise up the leagues when the team football club they "take over"  has never had much of a following.   In the Spalding situation, its the Council who own the ground (as far as I know), whereas when Swann took over at Gainsborough he had his eyes on their ground but pity he didnt do his homework because he may have gone elsewhere because the Blues Club had no intention of selling their ground.
