can you remember the rumour surrounding our 3-1 home defeat to Chester?  Stories of millions bet on the exact result in Asia.

Delroy Facey is one and I guess a goal keeper will be another.

Six men from three Conference teams arrested over the past two days.

I seem to remember a rumour going around about one of our games against Guiseley being fixed whilst Mr Drury was in charge.

If it was a game we won while he was in charge it must have been fixed.

It was me that spotted on a Facebook thread.  The original post disappeared before I got a shot of it but it said Guiseley 1-0 half time, Boston 2-1 full time.  The only time I've seen us mentioned on the site and it came to fruition.
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

Checked the old book of face this morning and in amongst all the football bets was the below comment...

Obviously with us being mentioned it jumped out,  the same user later added...

Now I'd not normally think much of it but low and behold what does the game end as.... 2-1 and I'm £50 better off.

I can't find the other mention of the bet from that site, but I'm fairly certain I read it as 1-0 Guiseley halftime, 2-1 Guiseley full time too.

I'm not sure I buy all this fixing nonsense, I placed the bet as that is what I thought the score would be myself.

I imagine it must be very difficult to fix a match, you'd need almost a whole team onside. I doubt there is any BUFC connection, we're far too professionally run for that.

You would only need a couple of players in key positions - goalkeeper and centre back? Oops, a weak backpass... Oops a handball in the area...
I create YouTube videos (BUFC/FM/CM 01-02), and stream Football Manager on Twitch as BostonUnitedFM.
