I never knew that.

York street is the 7th lowest football ground at 18 feet in England. Number 1 is Blundell park at 2 feet, the highest is the Hawthorns at 552 feet.

Surey the lowest ground has to be Gloucester City's Meadow Park at -6ft  :bunny :dan

18 feet? In Boston? It's not on the Sluice Bridge so it must be an exaggeration.

The Hawthorns always used to be the highest English league ground in the country (always a good pub quiz question) but not sure how far down the pyramid these stats go or how old they are?

Buxton is the highest senior football ground in the country (wasn't there an old joke about us losing a pre-season friendly there under George Kerr and him saying "We never play well at altitude"?), with Tow Law Town the second highest.

The Hawthorns probably still is the highest league ground, I can't think of any new grounds/ new entrants into the league that would have changed that stat.

St James Park has the tallest football stand in England. (I'm talking about Newcastle United here, not Brackley).

Tow Law Town also have a wind turbine at their Ironworks Road ground. Connected to the National Grid, the turbine is a source of income for the club, as well as reducing costs on electricity. Sounds like a good idea for a new ground. Is there one on the Quadrant plans?
