Buxton - A Must Win Game ?
« on: October 04, 2009, 08:06:48 AM »
Just looking at the league table and how we are starting to lose touch with the front runners at the top, I think Monday's fixture at Buxton is a must win game. Agree ?

Its a must not lose game more as we are starting to look down rather than up.
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

With 3 points for a win , draws get U NOwhere..
  eg  take 10 games
       10 draws = 10 points
        5 wins 5 losses  = 15 points
Need WINS  .. not rckt science .

Why look at 10 games? Take each game as it comes. 1 draw > 1 loss

Apparently not, someone tried to put me back in my box the other day about this. I think you'll find aslong as we start with 11 on pitch that is all that matters. God sake just be pleased we have a football club to support. Boston United winning thats just an added bonus, scoring goals now thats just stupid talk. I am still waiting for a town end league goal for utd this btw but that doesn't matter either.

Perpective people!

Realistic in a dour way I guess  R P . . but for the club to move forward needs more support
Equates to more goals and wins  ..  esp at home
According to the latest table only Durham have scored less at home than .. us

Certainly no need to fret. Still early days. Team at top only 11 points ahead of 2nd from bottom and some of those near the top will slip up I'm sure. I think we need another 10 games or so before the table will become relevant. Just glad to be seeing football at York St. but would appreciate some 3 pointers. Am looking forward to next Saturday when we have a run of 3 home games.
