We surely can't afford to keep Timms as well! Although it is a shame to see timms go if he does, because he isn't a bad keeper really. Slightly worrying record King has had at Eastwood but can't pass judgement until he has played a few games.

I'm not very confident with this signing although I will hold judgement until I have seen him play a bit, but going from Sunderland all the way down and never really going back up doesn't fill me with much confidence on him, interested to see what happens with timms now and see if it just adds competition or will timms go
Man city and all the way down!

Jan Budtz signed for Worksop today .

As has Mansfield town's player manager, Adam Murray who captained them to the Conference title last season.

One very happy Tiger here!

This is THE end for Ashley Timms. Right Club at the wrong time or vica versa? Who knows. Best of luck to new keeper Lewis King.

He can't be a bad keeper not with the advertised history, and can I remind people we already have another lad from Sunderland now playing for us, so cant and am sure we aren't pre judging the boy, but replacing the best keeper in NL football is a big call.

The worrying thing is how the deal is being financed. With cash so tight as DG has said on record numerous times, can we afford to have Timms sitting on the bench which if he cant be loaned out or contract issues resolved I am guessing we may have to. In turn until a resolution is found this might mean we have to loan out another outfield player just to balance things which would be a bummer. It will actually be fascinating to see if Timms is actually involved or not this afternoon

Don't think he's been treated unfairly its obvious that there attitude issues there and if it disrupting the rest of squad then something had to be done think there will be more stories on this in next few days there no doubting his ability but no one is bigger than the club

I think Timms owes a big thank you to  DG and the club for giving him yet another last chance , and I think he will find plenty of time to sit and reflect on this on Saturday afternoons to come .
