TIMMS and SHEFFIELD
« on: October 18, 2013, 09:45:05 AM »
why cant TIMMS train with them on the days we don't if his form starts to dip because of lack of training were in big trouble for sure.
there must be more to this,  TIMMS makes one mistake and then keeps the score from being embarrassing.(over training to blame?)
anyway had he kept training full time I would have thought 4 hours training with us would be easy to him.
(I cant get my head round this one)can someone help.

I think the idea of training at Sheffield was to add a bit of steel to his game  :)

Goalkeeping is like no other position on the pitch. Its not about endless fitness work, and it wouldn't matter how much training he puts in or where, it would not stop cock ups like Brackley. With keepers it just and will always happen, even to the best then its forgotten. IMO Keepers probably can't overtrain, when they do train, it will be all about movement of feet, working on angles, where to stand, where not to stand, when to come, when to stay, when to hold, when to punch and it is no fluke when they consistently get things right. I say let him have as much training as he can, it us that will benefit

There's a reason why clubs have specialist goalkeeper coaches. There's not too many who have defensive/midfield/attacking coaches.
I create YouTube videos (BUFC/FM/CM 01-02), and stream Football Manager on Twitch as BostonUnitedFM.

does TIMMS have to pay for the coaching?
does he have a job outside of football?
