(The interesting question to ask is perhaps how a step 5 club can afford Jones and we can't]
Cause the rentman wants around 8k a month and there is ! million ? in debt as well,
It needs one of us to stump up that 100k to get the 2/3 class players in !
They  say it takes 3 or 4 class players to move up a League ..
Spalding are paying silly money and it will end in tears just like Trinity!
Apparently 300+ a week so thats the reason Jones joined!

I realise that Jones has his fans but I am not one of them. I think he is over rated. The times I have seen him play he has been ok but I do not feel he is worth running after. Miller has not scored many goals for us but he runs defenders ragged and keeps going after the ball. Jones is not very quick. He will probably do very well at Spaldings level.

Jones was always a decent player, but no more than that, and I am guessing by his lack of starts over the last couple of years a few managers agree. IMO we only need another forward if DG ever opts for a front two, and even then if Jones  (who will score loads at Spalding) was here how many would start him in front of Miller and Newsham......except for KON perhaps! ;D. The interesting question to ask is perhaps how a step 5 club can afford Jones and we can't :(
wouldnt start many games infront of Newsh(the best striker we've had for years) or  Miller! Jones always seems to be injured! Must admit didnt want to see RM back but he been outstanding so far!!!

IF were saying FAIRLOUGH is a striker why would we wont the likes of a player like ( JONES )keep the ball along the ground I say.
anyway lets not forget we got elbow charley to come back.

See that Clunun has left ,  will it free up enough money for Den to go in with a bid for Steve Gerrard ?

CLUNUN seems to have a decent pedigree which will get him at a club,   then he's soon found out.
he needs to drop a league or 2 and get some football.

We couldn't match Trinity's £300 when he went there, Spalding have bought out his contract so they wouldn't have paid less.

i am not sure mark is on the same wage as what he was on at trinity, he said himself he just wanted to play football again so im pretty sure he would of taken a pay cut, a small one but its still a cut

I agree Tash ,  well done to Mark I understand this makes him Spaldings second highest payed player .

Jones opened his Spalding account (excuse the pun) with a 35 yarder on his debut against Wisbech earlier this week.
