One for the statisticians
« on: September 16, 2013, 08:48:22 AM »
I suppose it is inevitable with a small squad, but seven games in and DG has used the same starting line up in every match. At our level, in fact at any level is this unique? I certainly can't remember it happening before and I suppose a lot will depend on Garners injury, which might see this stat change tomorrow, but if doesn't it will almost certainly be eight in a row. Is that a record?

I remember under Scott and Hurst we played the same back 5 for 10 successive games, with 10 successive clean sheets. Then we changed personnel and lost at Droylsden 4-0...

Maybe one to ask The Knowledge (http://www.theguardian.com/football/series/theknowledge)?
I create YouTube videos (BUFC/FM/CM 01-02), and stream Football Manager on Twitch as BostonUnitedFM.

I expect 3 sequences to be broken at Oxford City.
Will be surprised if Garner is able to start so it could be the end of our unchanged starting line-up.

I expect us to be in the lead at half-time and we have not been in the previous 7 matches.

The results of the first 7 games were W:D:W:L:W:D:W...(so the sequence is L:) but hopefully we will make it another W:

I will be there supporting BUFC.
United we stand..................

In the mid 60s Boston had a great core squad and often put out the same side week after week (and won lots of silverware). Just look at the statistics for 1966/67 - only used 17 different players all season and won the West Midlands League.

The eighth match unchanged in a row has been confirmed.
