Sleaford Town hit the headlines this afternoon
« on: September 14, 2013, 06:33:31 PM »
An FA Cup fixture between non-league sides Sleaford Town and Huntingdon Town was abandoned three minutes from time this afternoon after a mass brawl broke out between the players.

Sleaford were leading 2-1 in the first round qualifying fixture when tempers flared after a Huntingdon player was sent off.

"One of the Huntingdon players collided with one of Sleaford management team and that seemed to set it off," says a Sleaford spokesperson. "We are unsure what will happen with the game - whether it will be replayed or not."

One thing is for sure - both Sleaford Town and Huntingdon have poorly maintained websites - doggy do do level to be precise! Well done Craig for keeping ours updated all the time!
Alan Partridge: "I bet I've got more friends than you've got cows. How many cows have you got?"
Farmer: "I've got 100 cows."
AP: "Well, I've got 104 friends!"

Gosh that's tough, £150 would have paid their players for a whole season.

I don't think so Seeingbetter. I used to play for Huntingdon and earned more than that on my own in one season  :)

Overpaid ?
Only joking. I actually have a lot of respect for part time footballers regarding the time and commitment to playing for a team.
