Sorry Steelihat but Gainsborough is a terrible place, along with Goole one of the worst places I've found myself in. It has no redeeming features, be it football club, history, famous people born there.
If someone hadn't put a bridge across the Trent there it wouldn't exist. Sorry

I forgot the Marshall tractor factory!
It's been replaced by an ok smallish shopping centre called er...Marshalls Yard.
I did forget also that it's home to Smiffys.
(I'll let others do the jokes )
We did a job as part of a fun day type of thing and they had a Duck race on the river.
They threw the ducks off the bridge at the time the tide was neither coming in or going out and they just sat there going nowhere lol.
So we have things going nowhere in the town that has the biggest supplier of jokes in the UK.....
I see a pattern emerging :)
