Formation for North Feriby?
« on: November 06, 2009, 08:46:49 PM »
Official site states that Camm is struggling for tommorows game and Milly is still not ready for a game so with no natural replacement who would you start in midfield?? Parker played there during the managers first game against Lincoln and did ok. Personally with us being at home I would really go for it and play Cotton and Yates on either side of Church and Sleath.

Could see Cully play in midfield...
I create YouTube videos (BUFC/FM/CM 01-02), and stream Football Manager on Twitch as BostonUnitedFM.

The loanee Austin was a good choice
He was tall and quick  and willing .. could n't pass brilliantly but U don't  get everything at this level .
A good test of the midfield would be .. if it came to playing 424  .. which 2 super heroes would U leave in the middle  ?

Why accomodate him in there ? as a fullback he seems to fail in passing a quality ball
forward. My reasoning for saying this is, if you have studied him playing and I have on
many occassions this season already he makes a pass with his head down, resulting
in many passes not finding a player other than one from the opposition, a bit harsh
maybe but he does run with his head down at times.

If we are to struggle in there without the services of Cammy then lets see abit more
of 'Dotty' Cotton in a re-arranged formation, the lad needs more game time and this
may be the opportunity he has been waiting for. Spencer Weir-Dalley is not up to 90
minutes but I suppose he just might get the nod with Cotton making his compulsory
5 minute cameo appearance again !

I thought Camm had poor games in both matches against Quorn. When he was substituted I assumed the managers were watching the same game as me and that it was a tactical switch. Alas, it was injury-related after all.

One other thing I've noted from the write-up on the official site...

Quote
Last season’s corresponding fixture ended 2-0 in Ferriby’s favour and this time around, the visitors are set to include former Pilgrims Tom Matthews, Ben Morley and Russell Fry in their squad.

Please remind me, but who was Russell Fry?

Perhaps he will be invited back as a leg end so that some of us can see who he is.

Fry's only non-appearance was for this game:

http://www.bufc.co.uk/MatchReport?fixtureId=1118971 against Kettering two seasons ago.

Can he really be classed as an ex Boston player if all he did was have a kickabout before a game and (presumably) run up and down the touchline a few times?

I predict 4-3-3 as it has served us well so far.  Be interesting to see how Matthews gets on today as he was great before injury for us and then pretty terrible after.

I think Weir Daley will get a full game sooner or later to see if he is any cop as I've not seen anything to suggest he is so far.

Lets not loose sight of the situation but we need to return to winning ways today
against North Ferriby irrespective of what side is put out. Our last two fixtures against
lower league opposition Quorn F C was a reality check again for everyone associated
with the club, Ferriby will boast a higher level of threat in this fixture so players who
are selected for the game will have to be on their metal.

The side for me would be, well I suppose it will pick itself won't it ?  ;)
As for Spencer Weir-Dalley I don't think he's got 90mins in him as he
from all accounts he still has an injury he is trying to shake off !

No win today could see us down to something like 8th and 9 points off the leaders, which was unthinkable at SPS what a week ago.
