The double bonus is, because Trinity offered him a lower deal than last season whoever buys him wont have to pay a fee, even though he is under 24yo.

According to the article below Gainsborough offered Wilde re-engagement terms, however Wilde did not get back to them within the 28 days he is required to do so. Following that Gainsborough then offered him reduced terms. However, as Gainsborough initially offered him re-engagement terms and waited the required period for Wilde to respond they may be entitled to a fee??

I think its been reported elsewhere FT that the first offer Blues made to Wilde was less than what he was on last season ,  therefore he is available on a free.

If that is the case GHM, then I agree no fee/compensation can be sought. It would also mean they would have committed exactly the blunder they were trying to avoid! See the Echo's article from early May:

GTFC offered Wilde re-engagement terms ( same deal as last season) he didn't respond to the offer within the required 28 days, which means he can negotiate with other teams (like BUFC) but a transfer fee is still payable.

After this period (28 days) then GTFC like other teams are entitled to offer him a deal, less than before, but if he chooses to go elsewhere, then the compensation is still to be paid

Perhaps this is why BUFC have not announced their new left back?

Good player, with potential.
Decent left foot, not bad in the air, and good stamina.
Has improved, and still has time to progress

If it goes to tribunal  what would have been a modest fee will be even smaller seeing that GTFC  offer on the table is reduced .  This is the wage the tribunal take into account when accessing a players value .

Think your last sentance sums it up Steeli ,  can,t see us paying more than a couple of grand !!!

The last player we paid money for was Shaun Pearson and what a signing that was. Would like to think the board would back DG in bringing in young player with potential.

the tribunal can only take into account the original offer, as this is the rejection which allows him to talk to other teams.

Not sure Boston would take the risk of having to pay £10k or so ( Lincoln had to pay £12.5k for Boyce last season) at tribunal.

Can,t see a CN team putting £10/12k bid in for a player , Blues best hope is a bigger CP team is tempted to take a punt .

where you getting figures of 10k from, Tbf if you think 10 is the figure you will get you certainly don't keep up with CN to CN transfers often. Even the best players transfering from cn team to cn team in this league struggle to get 10-15k. you be lucky to get 5k

3 or 4K max unless the price has risen since the Pearson / Church incident.
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

A lot is taken into account. including if they are going up leagues or not/ If they are going Ft/Pt, Time at club. remember the fee is not for a sale but for compo for what is deemed as training. Without the player going ft or upwards and also remember he as only been with trinity for a season there wont be much in a deal at all. if i was trinity i wouldn't be getting to carried away

Think tribunals take a lot into account, and then just think of a number.

Wilde cost a fee from he previous club, and has improved, so that fee should be increased

The 10k is a figure that the tribunal could come to, and the question was would BUFC risk it? ( I'm not saying GTFC are asking that amount)

When we signed Leon Mettam from Corby, the tribunal came to a figure of £7k
When we sold Andy Boyce to Lincoln the tribunal came to a figure of £12.5k

Mettam was overpriced, Boyce underpriced (IMO)

Much better if the teams come to some agreement

I heard Wilde believes he was never offered same terms as last year and trinity broke certain promises to the player. Surely the player will have some arguement, just hope he signs and it gets sorted.
