Pilgrim Cup 2013

Here's the clubs official review of the Pilgrim Cup 2013 held over last weekend at RAF Cranwell:

I would just like to second that this was a well organised event that is growing each year. It's the only opportunity during the season for Centre of Excellence/Academy sides to play for a trophy, as all league matches during the season are on a development non competitive basis. The Pilgrim Cup is turning in to the highlight of the season for a lot of teams.

I would also like to congratulate the Boston U14s squad on getting both teams in to the final against some very good opposition. Boston 'A' lifted the trophy (without conceding a goal all tournament) after a epic battle with local rivals Lincoln City in the Semi final, Cranwell came to a stand still to watch this game with Boston breaking the dead lock with two minutes to go and doubling the lead in injury time to run out 2-0 winners. In my ten years of following youth football I think this was the best team performance I've witnessed at any youth level.

Our U14s squad are very promising for the future.

Any local youth's that think they have what it takes and want a step up from local football might be interested in the Centre of Excellence open trials this weekend at RAF Cranwell:
