Well the match really does sum the season up. Overall not a bad performance at all but we gave them 3 awful goals and its obvious where the squad will be strengthened most during the summer. Nice to hear greene saying he is looking to sign 7 players. Interesting summer ahead!!!

7?

Is that all?

We need a midfield so badly its not true,Foster looks like a NPL Div1, player, Milnes isn't the answer......it was embarrassing to see us taken apart yet again today by, bigger, stronger, fitter players. The back 4 and goalkeeper (who's the poorest in 36 seasons I've been supporting Utd) have been a shambles all season and all need to be replaced. I exempt Stainfield as he's at least looked like he cared even if he is prone to daft lapses.......but the rest......adios.

Frankly a final position of 16th is nothing short of disgraceful, how anyone on the playing staff can come out of this season with any sort of credit is beyond me. And how anyone can defend them is equally baffling.

Stainsfield is honest if error prone.

SWD........I don't know.......heart says yes, head says no.

Newsh......no issue is there?

Connor Marshall.......file with Stansfield, but worth keeping because he's improved no end over the season.

Bin the rest.

At least Foster looked like he cared, Thought our Defence if you can call it that was terrible all their goals were soft. The back four is crying out for some experience and talkers.

Regards to the midfield I think we are always going to struggle to play Milnes and Ross together and be solid.Cannot judge Greene until he brings some new players in for next season,  Jury is still out on him at the mo.

I'd be wrong to have a go at DG, he's working with one of the poorest squads I've seen, and I include Tommy Taylors 08/09 NPL disaster in that.

I just think that he's making the wrong noises as regards offering terms to lads who are too inconsistent.

I shall trust his wisdom it would be very difficult to find a whole sqaud. maybe thats in his thinking he must know the players in the area that will play for the money we have to pay.

Just don't think Greene looks like a winner .. to chase promotion
Last throw of the dice  would be  2 like Shorty and Shouty ..preferably both still playing .
Also DG doesn't seem to have any experienced back-up .

Great Game, highlighted everything that has been good & bad this year.  We just need to do the big and ugly stuff better next year as we appear to have enough of the pretty stuff to outplay any side.

They didn't look much for a team entering the playoffs.
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

I think a complete new back 5 is needed and will happen and new midfielder and striker. Ross looked good again today I thought his passing was class at times. We got to be positive. There is lots of decent players at gainsborugh we could potentially have??? If we become a solid defensive unit we will have a decent chance.

Well DN HAS  to splash the cash  on a defence and keeper..no more trying cheap fixes .
Else .with a new ground looking unaffordable .. the club could grind to a halt in a year or so
        Its happened to others ..
