I notice some are complaining that people in the Fantasy Island stand didn't evacuate when asked! They were asked to leave by a different entrance at the END of the game, not straight away

The first msg i heard was could all those in the york/fantasy stand please leave immediately thro emergency exit.....correct me if wrong. Anyhow the most important thing is he got away to the hospital and posts on here suggest he will b fine...which is good of course.

cambocakes thats what I heard.PA should have told the crowd to stay seated at the end of the game until the stewards/police allowed them to leave.

It was leave immediatly, althou in commen sence becouse of the time it was announed personnaly with things on the pitch at boiling point the ref should have just ended the game.

Just shows how ineffective decisions can be when made by amateurs. Asking people to leave early meant that folks with cars in the car park were going to create congestion making it difficult for ambulance to arrive/depart. Asking people to leave early meant putting this poor guy on display like a freak show. Asking people to leave early was not really a sensible request a few minutes from time with the game so exciting. There was only one sensible request, for the people in that area of the stadium to remain in their seats. The wait would only have been for a few minutes.
I think that people were more likely to leave immediately if they didn't know why they were being asked to leave.

Your joking KoN, I stopped making decisions of that magnitude years ago. Anyway, I'd probably get the sack.
