I'm a bit late with this but I don't think it's been covered yet.
Tony Gubba died recently.
A stalwart broadcaster but always behind Motson & Davies for the big gigs.
Presented MotD, Sportsnight, Grandstand.
But more importantly he interviewed our young groundsman at the back end of 1982 prior to our big FA cup tie. Any memories of these times and the interview Chris?

Yes LP it is one of the few things I remember well nowadays! Mind you it was 31 years ago!
We had to have two or three takes on the interview because I kept mentioning Adidas!
In those days I had a very fashionable perm!
Tony Gubba was a really nice bloke, him and his Match of the Day camera crew stayed the Friday night in The New England and were asking me where the talent was because they were out on the town that night.
