FA Trophy Final
« on: March 23, 2013, 09:26:55 PM »
Just in case anybody wants to watch Shaun Pearson play at Wembley tomorrow,  a heads up that the game will be live on S4C, probably with Welsh commentary!  I don't think it is on Sky Sports.

Their coverage, which is available in the UK and Ireland on Sky channel 134, Freesat channel 120 and Virgin channel 167, will begin at 2.45pm, with the game kicking off at 3pm.

Watching it with the sound turned off!! After 13 minutes Grimsby should be down to 10 men, two footed tackle, straight red.

English commentary on the red button - it didn't start until about 10 seconds before kick off.

Best team won out in the end, well done Wrexham, although I do feel sorry for the Grimsby keeper, he made three or four fantastic saves.

Hard luck Grimsby, sadly you were not quite good enough on the day. Now push on for a place in the play offs.

Sporting moment!    When the winning penalty was scored, the Wrexham team rushed away to celebrate, but the scorer, instead of immediately joining them, went forward and hugged McKeown. A true sportsman at a crucial moment.

McKeown and Keates used to play together at Posh.  What a fantastic performance from McKeown!  Penalty aside I thought Pearson was immense too.  What a great side we had just a couple of years ago!
