I've just arrived in the Shire and its a positively balmy zero degrees with a sprinkling of warm sleet/rain...cover the pitch with argies non-stretch polythene sheets and its game on!  :dan

All this talk of free tickets winds me up. About 3 years ago my dad and i turned up on boxing day morning to clear the snow at York st,with the only benefit being that we could enjoy football in the afternoon. You shouldn't need to offer free entry, there should be enough people around to clear the pitch because they want to see a game!
well said SP- Agree with that

if people love there club, they should help for free no matter what. and not want to keep taking out of it !!!  its people like that, that will end up killing the club once more.  put in, not take out :)

Totally agree! Thats why the club should start next season with volunteers as stewards. This should save the clubca few hundred quid a match!

Agree n40 most if not all other clubs at this level survive in this league being run totally by volunteers so maybe we could work in a similar way

Lol, GHM  ;)
Noticed on Football Focus that Macclesfield seemed to have a plastic sheet over the pitch which the groundsman seemed to be clearing snow off without too much trouble. Only a suggestion, as obviously finance enters the equation, but surely worth a look  :)

It is true to say I abhor violence. When people suggest violence is a good response I don't like it  :o

This is real. Lets hope the followers of football here never become alleged or indeed  proven murderers!
