Corby away today
« on: January 01, 2013, 05:53:53 PM »
Disappointed to lose by a last minute goal but full marks to Corby who looked the more determined of the two teams. Thought we were lacklustre second half and question grahams substitutions but he is the manager and we should support him fully. Finally, a great away following today from United. Must have been over half the attendance in amber and black . UTP

Disappointing result today. Looked tired second half after last couple of games. Missing too many chances and in desperate need of a new centre half lost another sloppy goal to a set piece. Understand he has new centre half lined up. Unlucky today need to bounce back Saturday.

Will be interesting to see who the new centre half is. No clean sheet since October.

Apparently a lad who is on contract at another club and can't take him till 6th January. Hopefully he is trying to sign holding midfielder too.

Not very professional is it?

I mean, don't take us for twats like Evans and his various mates did........you are obviously close to the manager and here you are telling us who's coming in and when. Not only is it unsettling for the lads in the team at the moment its pretty poor form revealing potential targets.

Do yourself and the management and club a favour and shut it eh?

Well said Norty40!  Just wondered if anybody has a list of centre backs whos played for Drury in the past? This could narrow it down! Is Mark Jones brother on contract at Stamford?
Still waiting for Ricky Millers relation to start posting!

They don't fool you Andy do they!
It does seem odd that some one who only registered on Dec 28th seems/appears to know so much.
I agree with you Andy, do your business through the proper channels.
I, like all BUFC supporters want to see GD do well.

From the the interveiw the CB is a completed deal and will arrive on the 6th if not after today. I listened to radio lincolnshire as i like to find out how our other local teams have done. And i for one will be pleased as this is one of the places i feel we are at our weakest.

As For your comment regards to RM kingofnaves its bound to happen but i dont feel this is a area we need to look at.

As for the game itself i think 2 games on a heavy pitch then today showed today, there number 11 had smith in there pocket all game wich blanked us out on that side forcing us to play central and one sidded into the hands of a very strong, big and powerful corby back line.

Yes, tired legs second half.

Still positive though, a few new signings needed to strengthen the squad and Graham will get the right players in.

Despite todays setback , onwards and upwards

Wake me when somethings changed.

I think I preferred the not looking like we're trying and losing to a late goal, to the running around like twats and losing to a late goal. At least the former had room for improvement.

That said, great away turnout and decent game to watch that could have gone either way, although deep down we all knew where the final goal would come from.
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.
