Xmas Day games
« on: December 24, 2012, 06:36:03 PM »
I see from Ken's records we've played a number of games on Xmas day, in the 30's and 40's it seemed Lincoln City Res were the opposition on a home and away basis, with Peterborough Utd being visitors in 38/9. The 50's saw us carry on the tradition with games against Goole,Corby, Grimsby Town Res and finally in 1956 a visit from Kings Lynn in the Midland League.

How would Xmas day football sit with people now?
