Perhaps someone could ask him why he changed his mind about applying? Only a couple of weeks ago there were media reports of him distancing himself from the vacancy.....

Under the circumstances a very sensible appointment,  a manager who will judge the squad on merit,  has  decent contacts at this level and will have a better idea about sorting the defence out than the last manager.
And another fitness coach !  :), Dean West who I remember being a very good servant for us

When I heared who got the job my first two immediate thoughts were,
1. Not feeling excited or  inspired, soon be at FCs level.
2. Thought we would have got someone with more experience.
So, I hope he is a walk the walk kinda man and not just a talk the talk kind.
Anyway, give the man a chance, see what happens. Good luck to him.
