Thomo on a short term contract till the end of the season. I say short term because I don't think he would commit to us for the long term, he probably still anchors after lg football. He could stabilize the team and give the Chairman time to make an appointment.

Didnt st Neots pay over £10k for.....a centre forward whose name I forget for the moment, balls. Someone will know, which rather suggests he did have a whopping budget whilst there, wont have that if he wants to come to boston
Think the player you are thinking of is Stefan Moore, they signed him from a conf north team whilst still in the ucl and it was rumoured he went for the £££'s so the budget must have been substantial.

I'm fairly open minded about a new manager tbh, I'm sure DN will know who his man (or men) is once he's interviewed them.

We all learn from experience and I think that applies to DN as well. I think he will appoint someone with a bit of manager experience this time even if it may cost a few quid extra each week. After all, if we can increase the crowd by about 100 a work that will cover those extra few quid.

Daryl Clare as player manager? :xmashat
Alan Partridge: "I bet I've got more friends than you've got cows. How many cows have you got?"
Farmer: "I've got 100 cows."
AP: "Well, I've got 104 friends!"

Will it be Carl Heggs ?

http://www.football.co.uk/notts_county/chief_scout_heggs_departs_county_rss1645657.shtml

No chance.  Carl Heggs is a mate of Rodwells (and was at King's Lynn around the time of Mr Chinn).  If the club has any real decency it will NOT BE MAKING USE OF MR HEGGS' SERVICES. :xmasdeer

If it does it will add further weight to my long held view that Sotnick, Rodwell and Co are still very much involved in the Boston United/Tattershall Road equation.

more feedback. reminds me of someone in Rotherham. All hyperbole and the rest.

The B-Ark.  For Boston fans to talk about anything and everything they want to. Including trolls.

As has been said ..there is not enough experience / nous  in the right places in this squad .
Just looking at the numbers . . it's gonna take at least a year for any possible 'excitement '  -  due to lack of goals scored , too many against  , xtra games already played , out of cups .
Incoming mngr has a real challenge   .

As CEO of my most local team , Notts County ,  Rodwell got Carl Heggs the temporary job at Notts though his unique style of management meant that he only lasted a handful of games!

As a speculative  guess I'll suggest  Dean Thomas (16 seassons at Hinckley Utd) , Always seemed to produce decent teams with not much cash , has the extenive knowledge of BSN and uncovers the odd gem such as Andre Gray (went onto Luton ) .

Gary Lowe - he lives in Mossley, so I'd doubt he'd be willing...

Ian Bogie is now available. Did a good job getting Gateshead from the Unibond to the Conf Prem.
Not sure where he is based though, if it is Gateshead that would probably be too far for him to travel

Not for me. He'd just get up everybody's nose.
