But, following his comments after he was released, I don't know whether he would be willing to come back, or whether the club would have him!!

TBF Though his problem was the way Jason Lee got rid off him and not the club seen some of his tweets this season and he's still passionate about the club I think he would snap Davids hand off if given the chance but wether or not the club approach him is anouther matter. Maybe some chanting on the terraces Bazzas name might pursuade who knows its just a thought about Bazza that's all.

I hope not.

I love Bazza to bits and I want to remember him being a playing legend, not getting the same treatment JL's getting. Same for a lot of the lads who were here during the FL days, I was talking to a very well liked former player who just making his way in management and said as much to him too. How many have left here under a cloud eh? McFraud,Fee,JL......all popular but all hounded at the end.

A new broom and all that.....

The problem is many fans in football let sentiment overtake their judgement .  Fully agree with N/F although I find his comments ironic .   No often the "fans choice " turns out to be a good appointment , Dalglish at Liverpool being a recent example .

Can anyone name a goalkeeper who has become a successful manager?  Peter Shilton and Tim Flowers attempts didn't turn out too good.

Kevin Blackwell has had success.  So has Nigel Adkins.  Off the top of my head.

I think Nigel Adkins at Southampton was a 'keeper.

Mike Walker had some success at Norwich, taking them to their highest ever league position and into Europe where they had the famous win over Bayern Munich

People  on here were saying JL was unqualified and didn't have enough managerial experience, so I don't think Bazza would be the best choice.

I really hope not for the same reasons as NF40 has said.

We need someone with a bit of experience at or around this level with the hunger to progress himself and the team a la Shorty and Shouty.

Whether that person is out there, wants to come to Boston, and is affordable are the biggest challenges though.

I'd expect Stamford manager Graham Drury to apply. I believe he has applied for the position in the past, and has experience of this level from his time at Corby over the past couple of seasons. He's now in his second spell at Stamford and isn't doing too badly as the club are second in their league. He also lives in Grantham.

Steve Thompson might also throw his name into the hat. I haven't followed that much of Radio Lincolnshire's recent coverage because of geography and because they only ever seem to talk about Lincoln (even when Lincoln aren't playing), but not so long back it was clear that he wanted to get back into management. I believe he'd probably be looking at Conference level and above, but being an ex-United player he might just want to take the job on.

Whether or not Bazza applies is up to him, but in my opinion either of the above would be more suitable candidates. There will be other names out there as well who may also be interested.
