It would be good if anyone knows of a decent right back, as we don't seem to have one playing today.

not had one all season  ;D

We have he's been playing left back! Now if only we had a left back.....

Have to agree it was a very laboured performance.Defensively we were all over the place, particularly in the first half, and while i agree Wood struggled again, but he wasn't the only one.We should also have had more from the midfield than we got,and Newsham didn't contribute as much as he can.Personally I would have changed things earlier in the second half.I'd have left Kennedy on,sacrificed Sleath(or Church) and Newsham, and gone 4-4-2 with Cotton and Kennedy wide and Suarez and Clarke down the middle.Don't quite know where we go from here, but we need better performances than that to progress in the league.Still we're thruogh, and a win's a win i suppose. Finally, congratulations to Loughborough, who played very well and emerged from the game with great credit.

only lost 1 game and now with the 1st home win i feel we will be more comfortable at home

remember this team is still gelling as a unit

rome wasn't built in a day

onwards too bradford on monday , it will be a tough game but can't see why we can't get a result their

Congrats must go to Sleaford who got a draw away at Matlock, Retford struggled as well and only drew against Lincoln United, finally Buxton got through but only just. Ohhh I forgot one Kings Lynn lost 2-0 to Bury....puts things in a bit of perspective.

Maybe I'm too easily pleased but I thought we played well today. Ditched the long ball and played some good stuff all to feet. I thought we where in control of the game throughout and the result was never ever in doubt. What should of been a comfortable win was made difficult by 2 sloppy pieces of defending. First was indeed Chris Wood's fault as he let his man get goalside, maybe Evans could of done better with the shot though? Second goal was entirely down to Pearson, he had 2 chances to clear the ball but didn't and got n=beat far too easy by their number 9 who was second best from a nothing ball in.

Think the reason for most of the complaining on here and at the game is because the opposition have been underestimated, most expecting a 5 or 6 goal drubbing. The thing is it doesn't always work like that. And I would also like to know why Wood is being singled out and not Pearson, a mistake each for the 2 goals yet only 1 getting the slating. Also where are the people who where berating Suarez earlier in the season? Any complaints today? There's no pleasing some people, we won the game, played football on the floor and scored 4 goals what more do you all want? >:(

Edit: Also think he term you can only beat what's put in front of you comes to mind, which we did. Why are people going on about a Uni Prem team beating us today wtf does that matter we where not playing a league game. Agree with Tom more positivity is needed. Also forgot to mention Loughborough, both team and fans where superb today an absolute credit to their club.

As i said in my previous post,Wood was not the only one to struggle.I certainly wouldn't single him out,and i thought he was much better in the second half.He did make a mistake for their first goal, but i thought Evans was also at fault, beaten far to easily at his near post.I certainly didn't expect it to be easy today, but i still feel some under performed. The loss of "Canners" experience didn't help, but it looks like we're going to be without him for some time.Incidentally,to prove these games aren't as easy as we would like them to be,Kings Lynn lost 2-0 at Bury Town.

I too think we played quite well today for long periods of the game.

If it was not for half a dozen or so lapses I think there would be very little to complain about. We won by a comfortable margin in the end. It is foolish to say we would have lost if we were playing another team as it is simply impossible to transfer a performance against one team to another.

thought we were poor today all over the park.not going to single out anybody in particular thought it was a sub standard team effort.i must have watched a different game because i thought we still tended to hit too many long balls as we never had hardly any width for the midfield or full backs to use.pleased with the win but as others have said defence looked shaky without canners.

"Why you got a shirt and tie on, do you own the pub this lot play for?"
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

As for the game, we're in the hat and underway at home, that is all that counts.

In the cup you soon forget the terrible games that have gone before as you progress through.
