Mystery player at pre-season training
« on: July 04, 2012, 06:51:21 AM »
Just looked at the photos from the pre-season training session. Does anyone know who the guy behind Ian Ross is?

Only player I don't know within the current squad is the new signing Jones from Corby. But he's supposed to be 6'3" tall, and the player in the photo doesn't appear to tower over the other players enough.

Unless one of our other players has had a severe haircut?

EDIT: It's not Emile Heskey.

I'd prefer it if names/photos are kept under wraps until player are under our wraps. And I've no idea
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

Probably we've recruited another fitness coach?

i saw spencer talking to semple on twitter and he said there were quite a few trialists at training last night so i should imagine he was one of them.

I can assure you I tried my best - I have not put a whole load up due to them having much much clearer views of trialists!

Should have just given me the camera, 100's of pictures with their heads chopped off!

Graham Hyde has made comments about former Redditch players potentially stepping up to our level. From their website, this is defender Alex Hickman....

... Hard to say as obviously facing in a different direction. And I'm no expert in facial recognition. But in my opinion he does look a little bit like the player at our training session.

Had a look on Redditch's forum and they (their fans) seem to think the only players from last season that can make the step up are:

Jamie Grimes defender
Alex Hickman defender (who LP has already mentioned)
Stuart Hendrie midfield

Grimes and Hendrie are yet to commit to Redditch or anyone else but Hickman is on contract until 2013 so we would need a fee, the only time I can think we paid a fee was for Pearson from Stamford so there is a precedence.
