Kettering Town demoted to Southern League
« on: May 23, 2012, 08:17:37 PM »
That's the news coming out of their fans' forum tonight.

Presumably, with Darlington going straight through the division as well, Bishop's Stortford will remain in Conference North and we'll have Oxford City to visit too.

His tweet was:

"Would expect Hyde, Nuneaton, Blyth and Eastwood to be replaced by Chester, Bradford PA, Brackley and Oxford City. #BSBN"

No mention of Stortford?

If we were to blindly use latitude as a means of determining north v south then we'd have the following:

1. Workington
2. Harrogate Town
3. Guiseley
4. Bradford Park Avenue
5. FC Halifax Town
6. Droylsden
7. Stalybridge Celtic
8. Gainsborough Trinity
9. Altrincham
10. Vauxhall Motors
11. Colwyn Bay
12. Chester
13. Boston United
14. Hinckley United
15. Corby Town
16. Solihull Moors
17. Histon
18. Worcester City
19. Brackley Town
20. Gloucester City
21. Bishop's Stortford
22. Oxford City
------------------------------------------
23. Chelmsford City
24. Boreham Wood
25. Billericay Town
26. AFC Hornchurch
27. Maidenhead United
28. Welling United
29. Staines Town
30. Bromley
31. Bath City
32. Sutton United
33. Weston-super-Mare
34. Farnborough
35. Hayes & Yeading United
36. Basingstoke Town
37. Tonbridge Angels
38. Dover Athletic
39. Salisbury City
40. Eastleigh
41. Havant & Waterlooville
42. Eastbourne Borough
43. Dorchester Town
44. Truro City

There's actually not much in it between Oxford & Chelmsford but I imagine it would be less painful to promote Oxford to the north rather than move Chelmsford across (also given the latter's proximity to London).

There's also an argument that perhaps Bath & Weston-super-Mare, given their easy access to the M5, could be placed in the north instead of Oxford & Bishop's Stortford.

Rumours in various places that two other "problem clubs" (from all three Conference leagues) are to be kicked out at the AGM. Any suggestions/requests?

Histon?

Hope it's not Histon - that's practically a local derby as things stand!

The FA have announced their league allocations for next season and we will be playing both Oxford City & Bishop's Stortford next season.

Didn't it happen 2 seasons ago?
I create YouTube videos (BUFC/FM/CM 01-02), and stream Football Manager on Twitch as BostonUnitedFM.

Some hellish trips (over 400 miles round trips) for some in the North section - any trips longer than about 140 miles (round trips) in the South? Like the PM says "We're all in it together!" North-South divide getting bigger
