Don't care what Haystead did the other year! He deserves to have a second chance!

Good to hear newsham wanting to stay for next season, I still feel that newsh is a massive player with us and his ability to be in the right place at the right time

And as long as we can keep his dad away, he'll continue to score goals ;D

Very surprised about Baz and Semple, think Austin, Burge and Parker will be let go also. I cannot see the club being able to afford Church, Grimsby's wage bill must be 4 times what the wage bill is at Boston. All the best Canners, Bazza, Semple and Hall.

I think also to take in to account is JL prefers 4-3-3, Semple fits into 4-4-2 and his worst games have come when trying to fit him in 4-3-3, could be one of the reasons
Its not about what a manager perfers its about what works for a squad.

That be 4-3-3 then since we played it most of the time since xmas and our play as been 10 times better. While i agree with most semple is class we have played 4-4-2 mostly when he is in the team and he was the only shinning player in the team. My point is why get rid of the 6 or 7 players that fit the system well to suit a different style on the basis of one player,

I think you will find it is what the manager prefers at the end of the day thats why key players are leaving

Surely the role of the manager is to decide the playing style, in this case 4-3-3, and build the team accordingly. My only concern is what is plan B? Do we have the players to alter it if required?

Agree with that always need a back up so why not keep these key players and use them when required.

But would they be content with being "bit part" players when they could possibly get in a first team at another club???

That's always the conundrum Bartmac, even the big money boys struggle with that. Keeping the dressing room focused and happy is one of the biggest aspects of the manager's role, and also one of the most difficult in my opinion.
