A test for a team ....

 ... is when there is nothing to play mid way through the season.

In some ways this a real test for a team: a test of their commitment; their professionalism; their ability to self motivate - or the management's ability to motivate.

If there is substance to this argument then we have an issue.
Since January we have Won 6, Drawn 4 and Lost 10 a total of 22 points from a possible 60.

So with a reduced budget, same manager and some of the same managers optimism abounds?

Or perhaps what is past is past and we start afresh in August with every opportunity to get promoted.

I've absolutely no grounds for optimism with the current manager.

He comes across badly in interviews, almost as if he doesn't care if we lose and like Tommy Taylor it seems he doesn't learn lessons from mistakes. He has no contacts other than a few in the Nottingham area and I get the feeling he's no more idea of his team for next season than we do. In short I think it was a calamitous decision to give him another year.

My only consolation is the club are in good hands with Dave Newton and co.

How can some one who as played for about 15 teams spread over england and in 6 different leagues not have contacts ?
 Far more constructive N/F to put a profile on here of your type of manager .
