ABSOLUTE GARBAGE.....
« on: January 10, 2012, 10:22:22 PM »
As a very long standing UNited supporter and season ticket holder I feel that I am entitled to pass comment on tonight's performance v BS.......to summarise IMO we are absolute garbage...

-our players are lacking in basic coaching....they seem totally incapable of doing the simple basic things
-we have no game plan and look absolutely clueless from the kick-off
-our managers seem to be set on playing 4-3-3 all the time, every game. But FFS football and tactics are   evolving all the time. Our style of football is dated.

The frustrating thing is,IMO, we have some excellent players at the club.Ross,Bazza,Semple,Jellyman,Ward and Austin perhaps,Newsham and SLeath on a good day are as good as any in our league.....
They all need coaching properly......and we all know who's job that is....
We can't carry on like this....these are desperate times....

I said similar on Utd Live, we've some very good players, certainly the basis for a side to challenge at the top end of the table, but......

David has to act now, its patently obvious the management have no idea how to coach or motivate the team.

Get rid now and not only save the season but build towards next.

My worry now is we have 6 or 7 players that are very good players that would be needed to challange, I just dont think they will want to be here next season after this

Where do we go from here????

Last 3 games where we should have picked up 9 points but gained only 2
                                  League position
Eastwood town 2-2       2nd bottom
Blyth Spartons 1-1         rock bottom
Bishops Stortford  0-2    4th bottom

Have these teams got better or are we playing worse??
As JP pointed out we do have some talent in our team although i would point out that IMO Newsham had a houler tonight. We cant pass the ball. We dont find space when in control. We dont mark up when we have lost the ball. There is some thing fundamentally wrong with the stratagey. I am not a manager or a coach but just a supporter that pays to see our 11 men do their best for 90 mins. I dont believe i am seeing this. It cant go on with only 811 there tonight, the attendances will drop further unless there are changes at the club. Fingers crossed its the correct ones.

It seems obvious to point to the loss of White as a turning point, but I think we miss Milnes.  Him, Ross and Sleath were building a good little trio and making the 4-3-3 work.  Without one of those 3, it becomes square pegs in round holes.  Non of the others seem to be able to play the narrow 4-3-3 system like they were doing.
So many people have come and gone, their faces fade as the years go by.
Yet I still recall as I wander on, as clear as the sun in the summer sky.

I said before, and I'll say it again.  No energy, no ideas, no commitment, no goals. Result = no points

Where did they get Leon Constantine from? I saw him play on Saturday and thought he was lazy.

It reminds me a little bit of the Mike Bassett football manager film, he thought he had bought a striker when infact he was a basketball player. Maybe there are two Leon Constantines ;D

Tuesday night was woeful. Constantine looked so poor it was beyond belief. Cannot believe only five years ago he was seen as one of the hottest properties in the football league! JF is out of his depth and Ward is a million miles away from Pearson. Changes needed.

Does anybody remember another striker with Football League pedigree, who struggled to hell in his first few appearances? He looked lazy, and off the pace.

He's just re-signed for us tonight...
