Blyth Spartans farce
« on: January 07, 2012, 05:02:58 PM »
Quote from United Live right at the death last week "Why should Eastwood just roll over?"  Let's be honest, that is just what Boston United did today against Blyth Spartans. No fight. No spirit.  Absolutely no efforts on goal at all until after Blyth scored!

As mentioned earlier, we lacked width. Was Constantine accommodated at the expense of our regular formation ? If so, it did not work at all.

Although things haven't been perfect recently, formation hasn't really been a problem - it's been letting in soft goals that has been costing us.

Both sides really poor today and it's a shame from a Boston perspective as so many of the teams above lost and an opportunity has been missed to make up some ground.

I wonder where the apologists are after that........ :-\

Even the most deluded and sycophantic can't make excuses for that.

Another low water mark in a season of pathetic performances........

With respect IMO  Ross was probably our best player today....composed,tidy,stylish and a mazy dribble or two.....a bit of class in a team of mediocre...

When Field came on his thows and his crosses caused Blyth more problems than the rest of the team put together.
Ross was busy but his loss of the ball lead to their goal.

You really should apply for the next senior football management post, all that knowledge! all that wisdom! all the experience (on field and off) you are a messiah!  ;)  Come on N40 was this draw in your full and explicit prediction? Or did you fail to post that? You are indeed a light weight. Full of wind and bluster  :)

what a disgrace and an absolute shambles.

it was obvious to most of us that we needed two wide players to stretch their defence. pace wins matches in this league.

can the managers remember what happened second half against hyde in the trophy? we played two quick wingers and for 30 minutes played them off the park.
all forgotten of course. if plan A fails revert to plan A.

we have poor managers, a below average squad with a few exceptions.

this is going from bad to very much worse. I have seen the posts tonight and quite frankly some of them are rediculous.

its time to face facts and get real including - my left foot and d lambert.

the managers must go now and get one manager with sound experience and proper contacts. I know finances are tight, but there are loads of players out there if you just know where to look and have good contacts.

8 points off relegation-- keep looking at those last 10 games!!!!
