The Fantasy Island Stand
« on: August 25, 2009, 01:00:46 PM »
Good news, but how surreal is it going to be sitting in The Fantasy Island Stand?  I can't quite put my finger on what it sounds like but certainly not a stand in a football ground!

So, does anybody recall any strange stand names from the past (Boston or otherwise)?

Wigan have (or were talking about) called one of their stands "The Billy Boston Stand" recently. Apparently after a famous Rugby League player from their past.

I believe they've just called it 'The Boston Stand'. Nice of them ;)

Well done Chalks, is it safe to assume thats the last link with the cancer that nearly killed the club severed with the end of the Staffsmart sponsorship that came on board during McFrauds hideous reign?

How nice it will be to look across from the spain road terrace, and not have that "staffsmart" logo glaring back at you, never did like the linkup with that sponsor, associated with cheap labour springs to mind,  thanks and good riddance, the only way is forward, and upward.

With the emphasis these days on recycling it would be appropriate to dispatch the to be removed Staffsmart sign down the A17 to The Walks. Good riddence to it.

Well done Craig!I went to Fantasy Island the other week and must give them credit in transforming Ingamells(spelt wrong). Seven hours with four kids on the rides.Twenty quid for all of them for unlimited rides is good value!
